Job Description:

We're looking for an enterprising, audience-focused and collaborative Editor to help lead our Tattnall Journal-Sentinel team, a weekly newspaper in Reidsville, GA, at a time when we're maintaining a print -base and growing digital subscriptions.The editor should be adept at managing a daily flow of stories to inform and engage local readers. They should be able to use audience data to inform news coverage decisions, while evolving content with depth, interactivity and reach through a digital lens.Duties and responsibilities:Works collaboratively with the publisher and team members to tell impactful stories quickly and accurately across platforms that engage and retain local subscribers and other readers.Competitively breaks news in county and beyond, by quickly writing or assigning stories with county and regional reachQualifications:Demonstrated experience managing newsroom personnel and producing high-quality news across digital and print platformsBachelor's degree or equivalent in journalism, English, communications or related field preferredDemonstrated success working in a deadline-driven environmentPowered by JazzHR
