The Kiawah Island Club is searching for a Skilled Trades Technician/Handyman. We're looking for a multifaceted employee with experience in plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and electrical. This employee will perform typical maintenance tasks to support the entire facility including all 4 clubhouses, administration offices, restaurants, fitness facility, and more. Job Duties General carpentry (cabinets, molding, trim, shelving, etc.) Installation/repair of siding, windows, doors, gutters, etc. Masonry including tile and grout work Paint interiors and exteriors or buildings with a brush, roller, or spray gun Maintenance and occasion install of HVAC systems around the Club Diagnose plumbing problems and perform repairs Install, assemble, maintain, and repair pipes and plumbing fixtures Follow state laws and regulations and adhere to local building codes Education and Experience: 3 years of related experience in a maintenance environment Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be able to perform but not limited to the following skills: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical (assist the facilities electrician), machine repair, plant layout, painting, and janitorial Required to be familiar with and use all hand tools and power tools common to the skills listed and be well versed in the disciplines mentioned above Physical Demands: Some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required Lifting of objects up to 75 lbs Personal Protective Equipment: Safety Glasses required while performing certain tasks Work Environment: Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments, and shop environments Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned Benefits In person applications are welcome between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at 253 Gardeners Circle Suite 210 Kiawah Island, SC 29455. *Benefits are available to full-time employees after a waiting period and include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term and Long-Term Disability, 401(k), Life Insurance, Accident Insurance, Telehealth, Health/ Dependent care spending account, wellness program and generous paid time off including 12 vacation days, 6 sick days and 9 paid holidays per year.
