Locations Available: - Early Childhood Special Education at Okatie Elementary (Bluffton, SC) - Severe and Profound Special Education at May River High School (Bluffton, SC) Roles and Responsibilities: - Deliver individualized instruction and support tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs - Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed to promote growth and engagement - Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and social development - Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and staff regarding student performance and wellbeing Qualifications and Experience: - Valid Special Education teaching certification - Experience working with a diverse range of special education students, including early childhood and severe/profound needs - Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavior intervention techniques - Excellent communication and team collaboration skills - Commitment to student-centered teaching and continuous professional growth Position Details: - Contract duration: Current school year - Work hours: 37.5 hours per week - Onsite positions located within the community This opportunity offers a dynamic environment to apply your skills in a supportive educational setting, impacting students' academic and personal success.
