Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. Support the academic and developmental growth of
students with special needs within a full-time, contract role based
in North Charleston, SC. This position serves K-12 students in
diverse learning environments and offers the opportunity to work
directly with children diagnosed with intellectual disabilities and
autism. The role is available immediately through May 29, 2026,
requiring on-site presence Monday through Friday. Key
Responsibilities: - Deliver individualized instruction tailored to
students unique learning profiles, including those with Autism
Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and intellectual disabilities. -
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising a Registered
Behavior Technician (RBT), a Teaching Assistant, and a Board
Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) present on campus. - Implement
evidence-based behavior interventions and supports to promote
positive student outcomes. - Maintain documentation and comply with
all South Carolina special education standards and licensing
requirements. - Facilitate communication with families and other
stakeholders to support student progress. Preferred Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina teaching licensure in Special Education,
with multi-categorical licensure highly preferred. - Experience
working with students on the autism spectrum and those displaying
challenging behaviors. - Proven ability to adapt instructional
strategies within a challenging classroom environment. - Strong
organizational skills and commitment to student-centered education.
Locations and Assignments: - Liberty Hill Academy, specializing in
autism-focused instruction. - Ladson Elementary School, supporting
students in resource settings. This opportunity provides a
