Job Description Job Description 26-27 School Year Teacher Pre-Kindergarten-8th Goose Creek, SC 26-27 School Year Teacher Kindergarten-8th Grade Location: Mevers School of Excellence Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt Reports To: Principal Position Overview: The Elementary Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in grades K–5. This role involves planning and implementing lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards. - Assess student performance and provide feedback. - Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records. - Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress. - Participate in professional development opportunities. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices. - Uphold school policies and procedures. - Any other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field. - Valid South Carolina teaching certification preferred. - Knowledge of elementary education best practices. - Strong classroom management skills. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively; sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
