Markets Hiring: Atlanta, GA | Montgomery, AL Salary Range: $50K - $100K Benefits: - Paid Time Off - Medical - Retirement Requirements - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost structures. - Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. - Experience with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam) is preferred. - Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Effective communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). - Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Here's what you'll be doing: - Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope of work and requirements. - Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment. - Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes. - Identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and alternative solutions. - Maintain an up-to-date database of pricing, materials, and labor costs. - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to refine estimates and budgets. - Prepare bid proposals and participate in pre-bid meetings. - Ensure estimates comply with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices. - Track and analyze historical project costs to improve accuracy of future estimates.
