Job Description Job Description Job Title: HVAC Technician Job Description Under the supervision of the Facilities Supervisor, the HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems across campus facilities. Key duties include responding to service calls, troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role requires collaboration with other trades and adherence to EPA and institutional safety standards. Responsibilities Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems. Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot issues. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity of equipment. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Collaborate with other trades as necessary. Essential Skills Plumbing Electrical Mechanical repair Building maintenance HVAC expertise Electrical troubleshooting Carpentry Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of maintenance experience in a hospital or diversified building maintenance or construction. Technical or Trade School in HVAC, electrical, electronics related to industrial maintenance, or other related field preferred. Experience in electrical and mechanical fields preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
