  • Professional Training and Development Opportunities As a Accounting Director, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
    • As the head of the accounting department, you'll be providing direct support to the CFO on organizational financial matters to include financial modelling and ad-hoc analysis.
    • As a trusted, collaborative business partner, you'll ensure credibility for the finance group by collaborating with the CFO on the budget process, leading the month-end close process, and preparing monthly financial reports for distribution to Leadership and the Board Finance Committee.
    • As the primary backup to the CFO, you'll support engaging the board's audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial reporting, internal control compliance, and tax return preparation.
    • You & your team will have direct oversight of all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • You'll maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
    • You'll ensure the financial health of the organization by creating organizational net contribution and cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the division leaders; continuously collaborate with division leaders to assess the financial efficacy of program operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations.
    • Lead month end review process in coordination with division leaders. Analyze company operations to better understand drivers of operational effectiveness. Facilitate understanding of cost effectiveness through process and system improvements, focusing on best practices and improved communication. Clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the company's financial status.
    • Coordinate all audit activity and act as primary liaison to the external auditors. Assist the auditors with the preparation of Form 990 tax returns. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

        • BS in accounting or related field with at least 10 years of relevant accounting experience.
        • Demonstrated ability to develop a team through prior direct reports management experience.
        • Accounting/Controller standard costing experience within a manufacturing environment.
        • Proven ability to work collaboratively across business lines and departments with individuals at all levels.
        • Proficiency utilizing ERP l systems such as Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and business intelligence programs such as Microsoft Power BI.
        • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products to include a mastery of Excel. This Position Is:
