As a Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse, you will provide compassionate care for our patients every day. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with our patients, guests, other team members, and medical staff by striving for excellence in service and quality. You will be responsible for:
--- Assessing and providing early intervention for patients at risk for skin breakdown; outcomes-oriented management of chronic wounds (i.e. pressure ulcers and lower extremity ulcers)
--- Pre and post-operative teaching and care, as well as appropriate ostomy maintenance and care
--- Assessment of continence or incontinence issues and recommendations for treatment of patient condition to reduce likelihood of possible skin breakdown
