Job Description:
SUMMARY: The Respiratory Therapist care for patients who have
trouble breathing. The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory
services to patients under orders from the referring physician, so
that the quality of the patients life may be enhanced. The
Respiratory Therapist is committed to the philosophy, goals, and

today ensures tomorrow.IND123QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an
accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Must be Registered and
Board Certified in Respiratory Therapy. State license required. Two
years of acute care experience required. Ability to successfully
interact with patients, families, physicians, Hospice Savannah
staff, and the community along with excellent customer service,
assessment and documentation skills required. Must possess the
ability to develop working relationships with a diverse
patient/family population requiring excellent communication,
problem solving skills and professional demeanor. Current CPR
certification required. Valid driver's license, automobile
Insurance and reliable transportation required. Computer
proficiency in Microsoft Office and database knowledge
required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires moderate visual
concentration for charting/documentation and computer work.
Position carries a risk of exposure to infectious diseases
requiring standard safety precautions. May be required to lift up
to 20 lbs. with no heavy lifting required.WORK ENVIRONMENT: This
position works on an as needed basis with occasional after-hours
requirements to attend meetings or functions. The Respiratory
Therapist may be required to provide care in what has been
determined by local authorities as a high-risk crime area. This
position encounters stressful situations with patients and their
families regarding end of life care and the Respiratory Therapist
must be able to accurately, timely and concisely document the
patient/family encounter using a computer. The Therapist performs
client visits utilizing their personal vehicle. This position
requires a moderate amount of travel that may exceed 200 miles per
