Facility A facility is seeking a Thoracic Surgery Physician
Associate for locum tenens coverage. About the Facility Location
The facility is located in Savannah, Georgia. About the Clinician's
Workday This role provides CVICU rounding and call coverage one
weekend per month, with 24 hour non restrictive call Friday to
Monday and a 30-minute recall (hotel available). Duties include
consults in the ED, ICU, and CV cases, with CT consults routed to
the CVT PA. The position supports one surgeon and two APPs,
averages 8 patients daily, uses Epic EMR, and covers mostly
cardiovascular cases, as emergent thoracic cases are rare. Locum
coverage is needed due to two APP vacancies while recruiting
permanent staff. Additional Job Details Case Load/PPD: Daily
Patient Volume 8 Support Staff: Support - 1 Surgeon, 2 APPS, floor
and OR nurse structure. Location Type: On-Site Prescriptive
