Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Savannah, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,054 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 14 Weeks Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Telemetry experience Description: Candidates must have experience in a hospital of similar size and acuity. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience and successful completion of at least 1 travel contract. The unit has 12 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1. Common diagnoses/types of patients include Med-Surg, Sickle Cell, heart failure, etc. PCU nurses will titrate drips, but common titratable and/or set rate drips are typically set rates. RNs are responsible for pulling their own labs. The charge nurse does take an assignment. There are nurse aides on the unit with a ratio of 12:1. Respiratory equipment includes nasal and face masks as well as BiPAP. There are no Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit; monitoring is conducted on another floor. RNs are not required to read their own strips. The tele monitors used are Space Lab brand. Self-scheduling is allowed. The weekend requirement is every other weekend. Holiday requirements are mandatory. There are no call or standby requirements. Floating is not required. The dress code is navy scrubs. There is a one-day orientation for basic computer skills with a knowledge assessment test followed by two shifts in orientation with a preceptor.
