ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Charleston, South Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Critical Care Peds Float Pool Job Details: • Work three 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week • Every other weekend required with holiday rotation • Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3 • Float to all pediatric units in children's hospital including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU • 2 years of pediatric ICU experience required • South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN license required • Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only) • ECMO and CRRT experience preferred • Must complete non-billable modules averaging 4 hours pre-start • Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only • Skills include PICU care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, central line care, PICC line management, anti-seizure medications, continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, pediatric dosage calculations, ICP monitoring, chest tube assistance, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patient care, airway maintenance, ABG interpretation, and infection control • Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks • Block schedule accommodations possible with manager approval • May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November) Facility: This leading pediatric medical center specializes in comprehensive children's healthcare services with advanced pediatric critical care units including cardiovascular pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, and pediatric intensive care.
