Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Charleston, SC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,695 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Charleston, South Carolina, 29425! Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year in Medical Surgical nursing License: State or Multi-State/Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS and NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Travel experience in a similar setting is preferred Description: This position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. The nurse will work three 12-hour night shifts. Weekend shifts will be required, approximately 4-5 shifts per four-week period, along with holiday rotation. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5. This is a general neurology and medical stroke unit for adult and geriatric patients. All patient rooms are private, with some specially equipped for continuous epilepsy monitoring. The unit also manages medical stroke patients and various general neurology conditions, including Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular diseases, seizures, and strokes. Support for spine and epilepsy programs is a key part of this role. Candidates should be aware that assignment to emergency response teams may occur during hurricane season. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September. Prior experience in the listed specialties is encouraged. The ability to adapt to unit needs and float between similar units may be required. Travelers may be accepted, including those without previous experience in this specific setting.
