Job Description:
HCA Healthcare seeks an Adult Behavioral Health Nurse to join
our team of compassionate and skilled professionals. The ideal
candidate will be pivotal in providing exceptional patient care in
behavioral health settings at our well-equipped facilities. The
nurse will focus on aiding adults facing mental health challenges,
ensuring effective care strategies and support systems are in place
and tailored to individual needs. This role involves comprehensive
nursing processes from assessment to outcomes evaluation, dedicated
to improving mental health and overall well-being of our patients.
Assess patient conditions through consistent observation and
collaboration with the healthcare team. Develop and implement
nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Administer
medications as prescribed and monitor for side-effects. Educate
patients and their families about the management of their
conditions. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
Advocate for patients’ needs and provide emotional support.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare
professionals. Strong psychiatric and medical assessment skills.
Ability to manage a caseload effectively and prioritize tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of
handling sensitive situations with empathy. Proficiency in using
healthcare software and electronic health records. Medical

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license. Certification in
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (PMH-BC) preferred.
