Location: Southeast Georgia Seeking a BC/BE Wound Care physician for a hospital and clinic-based solo practice. A fellowship in Wound Care (with certificate) is required. General Surgery preferred following residency/practice. Special Requirements / Skills: General Surgery residency Outpatient only - with the opportunity to perform optional general surgery procedures one day a week One office Call Coverage - N/A; backup available from another General Surgeon The wound care clinic is located in a Medical Office Building adjacent to the hospital, featuring 3 exam rooms and 2 hyperbaric chambers. Statesboro is a simple 50-minute drive to Savannah! The hospital offers a 24-hour emergency department, a Level II neonatal center, same-day surgery and ambulatory care, a pain management center, a wound care clinic, two cardiac catheterization labs, and state-of-the-art diagnostic procedures including digital mammography, MRI, CT, PET/CT, nuclear medicine, and interventional cardiology/radiology. There are 9 OBGYNs, 21 PCPs, and 3 General Surgeons on staff with a large referral base. The hospitalist program is robust with 10 Hospitalists (8 daytimers and 2 nocturnists). Statesboro, the largest city in Bulloch County (service area 225,000), is home to Georgia Southern University (enrollment 25,000), the third-largest university in the state.
