tomorrow. Join us! Job Summary and Qualifications The Trauma Nurse
Lead provides direct nursing care in accordance with established
policies and procedures of Memorial Health University Medical
Center and the Trauma Services Line. In collaboration with the
patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care
team, the trauma nurse lead assesses, plans, implements, evaluates,
and coordinates treatment plans. The Trauma Nurse Lead demonstrates
strong trauma clinical assessment, nursing intervention, and strong
communication/leadership skills. In addition to clinical
responsibilities the Trauma Nurse Lead provides trauma program
support. The Trauma Nurse Lead will work with both in-patient and
emergency departments as directed by the Trauma Program Director.
What you will do in this role: - Assess patient condition during
admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any
changes in patient status. - Perform procedures or other functions
as ordered by the medical provider. - Document the administration
of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough
manner. - Perform the administration of prescribed medications and
monitors response. - Assume responsibility for patient preparation,
including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and
surgical site verification. What qualifications you will need: -
Currently Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in GA and/or active
compact license - Graduate from accredited school of nursing
(Associates required, Bachelors preferred) - Minimum of 2 years of
experience in Critical Care or Emergency nursing required - 1 year
of Trauma care preferred - Current American Heart Association or
Red Cross BLS required - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required -
Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 6 months
of hire - PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6
months of hire - Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse, or Trauma Nursing
Core Course must be obtained within 6 months - TCRN, CEN, CCRN
