Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to a 12-bed Stepdown/Med-Surg Unit (Candler 4N) with nurse-patient ratios of 1:4-5 depending on patient acuity Administer and titrate set-rate drips as necessary Perform all lab draws independently (no phlebotomy team) Deliver care utilizing telemetry technology; interpreting telemetry strips is handled off-unit Collaborate within a team that includes nurse aides and a charge nurse who maintains an active assignment Participate in unit-specific orientation including computer training and preceptor-guided shifts Maintain adherence to navy scrubs dress code and work a schedule that includes every other weekend and holidays, with self-scheduling options Qualifications & Experience: Active RN license with minimum 2 years' hospital experience in a similar size and acuity setting Successful completion of at least one prior travel nursing contract Current BLS and ACLS certification required Proficient telemetry skills and comfort with Med-Surg and Stepdown nursing care Ability to work within a 100-mile radius restriction (no local candidates) This contract travel assignment offers the chance to advance your nursing career while experiencing a new city and making an impact on patient care.
