As a First Line Manufacturing Manager (Level K) in Composite Fabrication and AFT Body A&I , you won’t simply oversee production—you will inspire people, build high-performing teams, and directly contribute to delivering world-class airplanes that redefine what’s possible. This position is located in North Charleston, South Carolina. Your Impact Starts on Day One In this role, you will lead frontline manufacturing teams responsible for building one of the most sophisticated aircraft ever designed. You will shape culture, develop talent, and drive performance across safety, quality, and delivery. You will: Lead and inspire frontline manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, high-performance environment Execute daily production plans that bring the 787 Dreamliner to life Build strong partnerships with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to solve complex challenges Develop and coach teammates to unlock their full potential and build future leaders Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles and operational excellence tools Foster a culture grounded in safety, quality, accountability, and pride in craftsmanship Help position Boeing South Carolina for continued growth, innovation, and production rate increases This is a role for leaders who want to make a visible impact—every day. We’re Looking for Leaders Who: Inspire trust and bring out the best in their teams Thrive in dynamic, fast-moving manufacturing environments Lead with accountability, clarity, and confidence Are passionate about building people, not just processes Embrace continuous improvement and operational excellence Want to be part of something bigger than themselves Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): 3 years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or equivalent military experience 3 years of experience in a formal or informal leadership role Ability to lead teams and execute within a structured production environment Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles Willingness and ability to work a variable shift based on operational needs Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Aerospace manufacturing experience, particularly in Structures, Systems, Electrical, Test, Assembly, Interiors Experience leading hourly employees in a production environment Proven track record of implementing Lean or continuous improvement initiatives Bachelor’s degree or higher FAA A&P Certification Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
