Optician (2+ Years Experience) Stay Focused Eyecare needs an experienced optician to join our team. We run an efficient and friendly office with no weekend hours. The successful candidate should be prepared to work up to 40 hours per week (no overtime) and should be knowledgeable about all different types of contact lenses and glasses. Major Duties & Responsibilities Educate patients on their corrective lens options & help make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences Greets all customers with a warm welcome right away. Shows urgency in providing service to customers & satisfying their needs Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames Takes & records measurements, adjusts or fits eyewear correctly, thorough & exact in details; ensures finished eyewear meets company standards & customer requirements Communicate questions or concerns to doctor about prescriptions and other eye-related issues Operate manual lensometer & other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients Explores the needs & priorities of customers by asking open ended questions. Is attentive to details, asks follow-up questions for clarity, reads verbal/non-verbal cues Basic Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent Optical dispensing experience Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder Experience with both glasses & contacts Strong basic math skills Awareness of current fashion trends Familiarity with Officemate, computers & calculators Qualified candidates should submit their resume to mark@stayfocusedeyecare.com.
