Description:The Demand Planner position manages the S&OP Process and Inventory for North America. In addition this role is responsible for SAP Material Master Maintenance for North America. This position reports directly to the Global Director of Supply Chain and Procurement.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Lead S&OP Process in NA with cross-functional team.Work closely with Sales to maintain the sales forecast using Arkieva softwareWork closely with Operations to prioritize production.Work closely with Procurement to determine buying strategy.Responsible for NA Inventory management. Drive inventory optimization in order to meet both customer's expectations as well as the working capital requirements of the Business.Determine inventory strategy (MTS, MTO, safety stock levels, fixed lot size) and order lead times.Lead Aged Inventory Meetings as well as Product Disposition.Coordinate Intercompany Supply to NA from other global facilities.Provide Monthly Inventory forecasts as well as weekly report to Supervisor.SAP Material Master Maintenance for North AmericaBack-up Material Master Maintenance for EMEA and AP.Responsible for creating Material Numbers in SAP by coordinating set up, as appropriate, of Purchase records, BOM's, QC records, and Costing. Active member of the Global Supply Chain Team representing NA Demand Planning.Active member of NA Business Team. Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.Additional Skills & Qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree. A degree (or knowledge) in Chemistry is preferable, though not essential.Experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement or Logistics. Microsoft Office with strong Word, Excel and Power Point skills.Experience with ERP systems is essential. Use of SAP is strongly prefered. Office in an Production environment.May need to travel for Regional Sales Meetings and annual Global Supply Chain Meeting. Ability to work within Global Supply Chain & Procurement Team as well as cross-functionally.Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to a wide-range of internal customers.Ability to work independently.Possess a strong technical aptitude.Must have strong organizational and problem solving skills.Must be detail orientated.Must be process orientated.Must be energetic, diligent, tenacious, and self-motivated.
