Housekeeping Manager

Job Description:

Continuously exemplifies the Greenwood Communities and Resorts (GCR) mission, values and customer service philosophy of GCR in job performance and in relationships to others. This position is responsible for helping to ensure the cleanliness and quality of all the resort rental units.


  • Manage all Field Service Representative Staff.
  • Maintain quality and cleanliness of all the rental units.
  • Ensure the integrity of every rental unit, addressing issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the facilitation of the check-in and check-out communication process with the front desk.
  • Help maintain the evaluations on an annual basis of the rental units.
  • Perform basic maintenance requests as needed.
  • Oversee special projects as requested and/or needed by the Director of Property Management or Property
  • Manage and report on expenses, forecasting and budgetary goals as outlined monthly.
  • Continuously evaluate outside vendor contracts to find the best available quality and pricing aligned with current goals.
  • Maintain department vehicles in proper working order at all times.
  • Provide timely and thorough reviews to housekeeping inspectors.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all purchased items utilized in rental homes. Maintain profit margin as outlined.
  • Maintain positive and proactive relationships with owners. Communicating all home & villa issues frequently and proactively.


  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks and meet appropriate
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to proficiently operate computer software.
  • Must have strong analytical ability and proven leadership of personnel through completion.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of housekeeping and guest service.


  • 2-3 years experience within resort operations of housekeeping as well as front office operations preferred.
  • Some general maintenance experience preferred.


Generally pleasant environment, continuing interruptions and some stress in working to meet deadlines. Most work will be done outdoors requiring extended periods of walking and/or climbing stairs at times.


  • Will stand for long periods of time
  • Bending/Stooping/Climbing/Walking/Reaching/Grasping/Repetitive Motions/Visual Activity
  • Frequently lifts/carries up to 15lbs
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to 30lb
  • Continual use of manual dexterity
  • Varying schedule to include holiday and weekends
