As the Ecommerce Architect, you will be responsible for the functions outlined below: Essential Functions:

• Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
• Design the technical landscape that will support the Ecommerce roadmap - participating in the strategy and working closely with IT counterparts to scope and implement a broad range of initiatives that support Daniel Defense.
• Understand Daniel Defense existing enterprise architecture and collaborate with IT counterparts to design and build scalable solutions that meet the businesses ecommerce needs.
• Work with User Experience Designer to ensure solutions enable Daniel Defense to meet and/or exceed customer expectations.
• Responsible for supervising Ecommerce engineering team including front and back-end developers
• Participate in day-to-day development work acting as the senior most developer.
• Identify and propose new technologies, techniques, solutions and/or experiences that will advance Daniel Defense's Ecommerce business providing sustainability, security or competitive advantages
• Ensure architecture documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Guide Delivery team and DD stakeholders in scoping, sizing and prioritizing initiatives. Identify and communicate trade-offs in cost/timing, performance and scalability of solutions.
• Understand the businesses regulatory requirements and design solutions that ensure compliance and where possible reduce encumbrances.
• Participates in the company's efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
• Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment
• Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Computer Science or an IT related field with 7-10 years of experience; or a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 7+ years of experience working as a Solution Architect and/or Web Developer.
    • Ecommerce Design, Development and/or architecture experience (B2C preferred).
    • Minimum 2 years of experience with managing/supervising others.
    • Familiarity with information management practices, system development life-cycle management, IT services management, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
    • Familiarity with Front and Backend programming languages and techniques.
    • Is familiar with aspects of Application Support & Maintenance and Service Delivery.
    • Shows a thorough understanding of applicable project management and/or operational management standards and procedures including technical, quality, safety and financial matters across all areas of service delivery.
    • Can spot design related risk and high light in advance to drive business-driven IT solutions.
    • Demonstrates the ability to make, and take responsibility for, sound and far-reaching decisions on major complex requirements.
    • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly communicate results and implications of analysis.
    • Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.

        • Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
        • Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the normal work day.
        • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
