Basic Job Function:Greet, escort and accommodate Cloister Hotel guest and ensure that the guests' needs are satisfied. Promote the Sea Island legacy of warm genuine hospitality while upholding and ensuring compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.Use of Company Vehicle: Designated to drive a company vehicle.Minimum Requirements: One (1) year previous hospitality experience as Front Office Receptionist or Guest Services at a luxury hotel or resort perferredExperience working for a Five Star property preferredMust have High School Diploma or equivalent credentialsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalValid Georgia Driver's LicenseMust have a favorable driving historyCompany policy requires that one must be 21 years of age or older to drive a company vehicleProficient with peripherals, copier, fax, telephone and calculatorConsistently aspires to fulfill our core Company values (Respect, Integrity, Passion, Teamwork, Accountability, Caring, Loyalty & Trust)Exhibits the Sea Island Five-Star Behavior Standards with guests, members and co-workersMust possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectivelyMust be detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast paced environmentAbility to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changesMust be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysReport to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in compliance with company Dress Code Policy Tasks/Responsibilities: Responsible for insuring all guest requests are meet during the overnight hours of 11pm to 7am.Escort incoming hotel guests to roomsAssist the guests with luggage and personal belongingsWhen checking a guest into a room, beware of the condition of the room ensuring it is adequately supplied and in orderExplain features of the room such as location of Honor Bar, location of compendium, how to use the WiFI, etc.Understand and follows the standards for the in-room check in/out processLocate guests in lobby, dining room or other parts of the hotel as neededDeliver messages and complete task assigned by the Bell CaptainPicks up articles for laundry or shine shoes when askedTransport guests about premises in cars or golf cartsKeep record of calls for service and who performed the serviceAssist in delivering luggage, golf clubs or other articles needed to be moved for guestsLearn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and MembersFrequent use of guest's names during conversationDirect and lead guests to the appropriate locationsRespond to all guest requests and follow through to assure satisfactory outcome and complianceResponsible for delivering newspapers to guest rooms and insuring they have the paper they requested at check-in.Report on a daily basis to the guest services manager the number of news papers left over each night as well as any shortages that occurred.Provide friendly and courteous telephone manners to guests and co-workersMaintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one's abilityIf applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areasUphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timingUphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and proceduresReport all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediatelyAttends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvementWilling and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership Physical Requirements: Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periodsMust be able to maintain an alert and engaging disposition during the overnight hours of 11pm to 7am.If applicable, must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levelsAbility to perform repetitive tasks with accuracyAbility to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 lbs. intermittently throughout a shiftAbility to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbalMay be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazardsNo visible tattoos, visible body piercing or unnatural hair color or hairstyles per company grooming standards
