Overview
The Aesthetician administers professional facials and other spa
skincare treatments to our clients (body treatments, upper body
massage, waxing, etc.). They must possess a thorough knowledge of
the skin, all skin types, acne, and pre-and post-procedure
protocols if applicable. They must have excellent facial massage
and skincare techniques, possess impeccable cleanliness and
sanitation skills, and be willing to train in our spa's specific
facial treatment offerings. They must possess excellent
communication skills and be able to learn the product and service
knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness and beauty
solutions to meet the needs of our clients. They must hold and
maintain a current state license.

Responsibilities
- Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment, and
perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the
service.
- Provide consistent professional spa treatments, and facial and
body treatments in accordance with office protocols and accepted
certification practices.
- Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the
practice.
- Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to
assist with cost controls.
- Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and
products while educating and training clients in these areas so
they are aware of all of our services offered.
- Actively promote home skin care regimens and document all
information using appropriate forms and client notes in the
software system.
- Meet minimum retail and service sales goals, monthly, quarterly,
and annually.
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed
by law and the spa's policies and procedures.
- Thoroughly document all client treatments and conversations in a
timely manner.
- Have a thorough working knowledge of all spa protocols, standard
operating procedures, and policies that pertain to your role.
- Support other practitioners by assisting with rooming and
prepping clients for treatment.
- Having a working knowledge of all spa services in addition to
esthetic services and guiding clients to appropriate services to
help best achieve their goals. Even if it is not a service you
perform.
- Perform prep work and properly clean and restock the room as
required.
- Actively promote all treatments, services, sessions, and retail,
as well as programs, promotions, and/or discounts available.
- Handle client questions and concerns professionally and
courteously.
- Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all
requests by clients, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
- Possess the ability to work without direct supervision.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work
environment.
- Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff
meetings for the spa.
- Assist in all areas of business operation as requested by
management.
- Attend all scheduled training, in-services, and CE's in and out
of the house.
- Abide by facility-established pricing guides and minimums.
Discuss any deviation with management in advance.
