Maintenance Tech Assistant
Maintenance Tech Asst Needed ASAP

*Pay based on experience, Minimum $14/h*

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
--- Completing general maintenance functions including but not limited to:
o General plumbing tasks such as changing out faucets, valves, plunging a toilet, replacing a wax ring, rebuilding a toilet, clearing drains.
o General electrical task such as light switch/outlet replacement, changing bulbs, light fixtures, and ceiling fans.
o General appliance tasks such as performing refrigerator repairs, dishwasher repairs, stove repairs, microwave repair/replacement, motor repair/replacement, garbage disposal repair/replacement.
o General facilities tasks such as changing HVAC filters, batteries, hanging blinds and other hardware.
o Minor sheetrock repairs and touch up painting.

• Performing a full review of necessary maintenance functions in and perform same in turn units.
• Performing emergency (sometimes after-hours) repairs promptly and efficiently
• Performing porter duties regularly to ensure a proper sense of arrival to each community.
• Completion of necessary records (electronic or paperwork) to document work performed inclusive of time, materials, and accomplishments.
• Ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act
• Compliance with service standards and work instructions
• Communication with and service of current Customers in an efficient and pleasant manner
• Other duties and task as assigned.
  Maintenance Technician Qualifications
  
  • VALID DRIVERS LICENSE with acceptable driving record. MUST HAVE DEPENDABLE VEHICLE
  • Own set of tools
  • Willing to undergo required screening process
  • Willing to take direction from maintenance supervisor & property manager
  • High school diploma/GED or suitable equivalent required
  • Prior multi-family maintenance experience required.
  • HVAC Certification, preferred.
  • EPA Certification, or ability to obtain same
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work after hours, some weekends and on public holidays.
  • High level of organization, initiative, and ability to switch task.
  • Task appropriate language, mathematical, and reasoning skills
  • Ability and willingness to take and pass educational and/or certification course(s), if needed.
