Job Summary The Distribution Operations Manager (DOM) is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction for the team and operations in the Savannah Distribution Area. The DOM will lead the team in a Safety Excellence environment with a focus on learning and ensuring critical risk plans as well as our STEP observation tools are implemented. The DOM will have accountability to ensure a culture within the team that is inclusive, builds trust and is continuously improving. This includes ownership of our Diversity and Inclusion efforts as well leadership in continuing to advance our Southern Company "Moving to Equity" plans. Development of the team members as well as communications within the team are key responsibilities for the DOM. The DOM will provide leadership for planning, engineering, design, and construction of all activities in the area and will have area-wide responsibility for all Distribution functional budgets, compliance, and system maintenance to ensure reliability. This includes investigating extended or significant outages as well as timely addressing customer issues that arise. This position will work closely with the Distribution Manager and other functional managers in the area to deliver best in class, customer value, reliability and cost as well as supporting external community activities. The DOM will also serve as the Savannah area SERP Director and will be required to participate in SERP events across the Southern System and events off system as required. Job Experience and Education Education Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is preferred. Experience Proven leadership and commitment to Safety Excellence. Proven record of dealing effectively with customers. Influencer and champion for Diversity and Inclusion through words and actions A minimum of 5 years Power Delivery experience preferred.
