As a Rehab Services Technician, you will assist the therapists in conducting medically prescribed therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part. Assists the therapists in helping patient reach maximum performance while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. You will be responsible for:

• Assists therapists in various types of patient care within the parameters of the laws of the State of Georgia governing non-licensed personnel, and the limits of his/her education and training.
  
• Ensures the patient always receives optimum service with courtesy, tact, and respect. Ensures patient privacy and dignity is maintained during patient care activities.
  
• Maintains open communication with therapist regarding patient's performance/progress/condition and reports any changes to the therapists or nursing staff as appropriate.
  
• Confers with the person(s) most closely associated with the active management of the patient and keeps them informed of any additional patient needs.
  
• Assists therapists working with patients, families, care givers and other direct patient care providers to assess, instruct, correct, and/or provide information about practice skills and techniques.
  
• Takes a lead role in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
  
• Participates in the improvement of patient satisfaction, job specific processes, or procedures.
  
• Actively participates in compliance with The Joint Commission standards, both departmentally and organization wide.
  
• Organizes personal time requirements and demonstrates ability to establish priorities for maximum efficiency.
