Description Your JobGeorgia-Pacific is seeking Maintenance
Mechanics at our Rincon, GA facility to manufacture tissue, towel,
and napkins safely and efficiently. This position offers
opportunities for development within your role and future growth
within the company. The Maintenance Mechanics work a rotating
12-hour shift to include weekends, holidays, and overtime as
needed. The pay for this position is commensurate with
experience.Our TeamGeorgia-Pacific's Rincon facility uses state of
the art innovation and technology to manufacture tissue, towel, and
napkins.What You Will DoEmbracing and adhering to all facility safe
work policies, practices, and regulationsTroubleshoot, maintain,
and repair equipment to achieve optimal performance levels using
precision maintenance best practices, tools and
techniquesPerforming preventative and corrective maintenance on
industrial drives, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, valves, gear
reducers and other industrial process equipmentApplying problem
solving methods to identify the root cause and eliminate
failuresCross-training and assisting in maintenance and operational
areasWorking with the operations and maintenance teams to identify
and prioritize maintenance needsFollow both verbal and written
instructions to successfully complete assigned tasksLift up to
50lbsWork in elevated and/or confined spacesWork in a hot, humid,
cold, and noisy industrial environmentWork12-hour shifts, weekends,
holidays, and overtimePerform repetitive and physically demanding
tasks to include lifting, pushing/pulling, gripping, reaching,
sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing
ladders/stairs throughout the12-hour shiftWho You Are (Basic
Qualifications)High School Diploma or GEDA minimum of five (5)
years or more of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial
environmentExperience with preventive, predictive and
reliability-based maintenance practicesExperience with lubrication,
print reading, rigging, precision measurement, precision alignment
and condition monitoringExperience using a computer or tablet
Ability to learn the mill's CMMS (Computerized Maintenance
Management SystemWhat Will Put You AheadWelding
certificationsRigging certifications of qualificationsPossession of
an industrial mechanical diploma or vocational degreeExperience
performing precision maintenance tasksExperience with pulp and
paper industry and/or power generation/utilitiesExperience with a
CMMS(Computerized Maintenance Management System)Experience welding
(mig, tig and stick) and pipefittingExperience working Wet End
