Aircraft Assembly Mechanic (Level B or C) Company: The Boeing
Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking
Aircraft Assembly Mechanics (Level B or C) to support the
787-production system as an electrical, system, or seal/wing
mechanic in North Charleston, South Carolina on a variable shift .
This role offers an exciting opportunity within a dynamic
manufacturing assembly environment. Team members will leverage
their prior experience, along with the knowledge gained through
foundational training and certifications, to complete daily
assigned tasks safely and with quality. Individuals will be
responsible for identifying parts and tooling within their work
locations on advanced airplanes by interpreting technical drawings
to accurately complete detailed work instructions. Attention to
detail and strict compliance with procedures are critical to
correctly identify all necessary hand tools, parts, and equipment
required to ensure defect-free work. This position is physically
demanding, and employment is contingent upon successful completion

Responsibilities: Safety: Adhering strictly to all safety protocols

standards in all deliverables, ensuring that our work meets or
exceeds expectations and complies with all regulatory and company
requirements. Must successfully complete the new hire foundational
training to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
Proficient use of a computer in a dynamic production environment.
Look up/read/comprehend electronic technical work instructions,
drawings and/or specifications. Wear appropriate protective
clothing/equipment determined by the task performed. Operate
various mechanical lifts (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).
Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as
screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity
testers. Install various aircraft system components and wiring such
as: tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, ducts, and
interior components. Route wire harnesses to supports, install
connectors to receptacles and electronic components. Fiber optic
clean and inspection, light loss testing, routing and installation.
Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives,
paints and special finishes. Work in confined space and respirator
usage. Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object
Debris. Work around energized sources (electrical equipment and
hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to
constant noise. Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other). Lifting
and carrying up to 10-35 pounds. Climbing/balancing (stairs,
ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling,
Crouching (squatting). Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent
back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching
(overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, Twisting at the waist
and walking. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The
selected candidate will be required to work onsite. This position
must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export
control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22
C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen,
lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Aerospace Technician
and Mechanic Aptitude Virtual Job Tryout : To be considered for
this position you will be required to complete an assessment as
part of the selection process. You will receive an email invitation

consideration. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Must have the ability to work variable shifts (first, second, or
third) based on business needs. Ability to meet physical demands of
the role such as flexion and extension (head bent down, head bent
back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead,
rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking,
climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined
surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting). Ability to lift/carry
up to 10-35 pounds. Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals
using proper protective equipment provided. Ability to complete and
maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications, if
required. 1 year experience using software applications such as
internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other
specialized computer applications. 1 year experience following
detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints,
drawings, or specifications, along with successful completion of
training and knowledge assessments involving mathematical
calculations, all conducted in English. 1 year experience in a
manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field, including equivalent
military experience, performing work with basic hand, power, and/or
pneumatic (air) tools. Preferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience): 3 years of related work experience or an
equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 years of
experience in manufacturing, aerospace, and/or equivalent military
service. 3 years of experience installing various aircraft system
components such as tubing, valves, regulators, actuators,
compressors, ducts, and interior components. 3 years of experience
in Automotive/Diesel/Heavy equipment mechanical experience. 3 years
of experience with wire routing, dressing, hook-up/mating
connections. 3 years of experience applying sealant to required
surfaces per specifications. Conflict of Interest: Successful

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well
as market and business considerations. Summary pay range level B:
$54,000 - $64,000 Summary pay range level C: $61,200 - $64,500 When
