Job Description:
As a key member of HCA Healthcare’s dedicated team, the
Children's Behavioral Health Nurse plays a crucial role in
providing specialized nursing care for children with behavioral
health conditions. This position focuses on delivering
compassionate, patient-centered care at our facilities, following
our commitment to improving human life. Our nurses assess
psychiatric conditions, assist in creating treatment plans, and
work closely with families and other healthcare professionals to
implement those plans effectively. Assess the behavioral health
needs of pediatric patients. Develop and implement detailed care
plans in collaboration with psychologists, psychiatrists, and other
healthcare professionals. Educate patients and their families about
conditions and treatment options, providing emotional support and
guidance. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
Administer medications properly and document therapy effectiveness.
Adhere to all healthcare regulations and maintain patient
confidentiality. Strong psychiatric and medical knowledge.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work
under pressure in challenging situations. Capable of decision
making and nursing judgment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license
in applicable state. Certification in Pediatric Nursing or
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing is preferred.
